Everyone has heard of One Piece, the manga that's going on forever and ever. After reading 1000 chapters of One Piece, I can proudly say that this manga is 10 outta 10.

Anytime I ask a person if they have read One Piece, there are two responses I get, every time I try to get someone new to read One Piece, "It's too long or "I don't like the art style"

These were both of the reasons it turned me off for me also.

As for the art style, I understand and it's true, to be honest it's completely different from almost anything else I've seen. But you need to know that One Piece is much more than just art like many mangas are. The style is more "childish" and maybe it turned you off, even though that's the case One Piece has a lot more to offer and you'll end up loving it. One Piece has 1000 chapters published and if you have been following the manga for a long time now, you have to or will "get used to it" because it's not something that detracts from the rest of the series in any way. The art is bearable, it's not bad or anything. If you read the manga, you will learn and see how much of a roller coaster and fun experience you'll have.

As for the "it's too long" excuse, I don't see a problem with it. If you hate it fine, but read it, but if you like it great, 'cause that means you'll have that many great times ahead of you. If you just don't care enough to read because it's long, don't. I've even heard people being like "I don't know if I'll be alive when it ends..?" or something like this. To be honest, I don't wanna see the manga end. I do wanna see Luffy become a pirate king, I mean let's face it, he IS going to become one because of how long the manga has been going. If you just have no patience at all, you'll not gonna enjoy it, it's this simple.

One Piece is actually one of the best manga I've ever seen, it terms of adventures and fun experience. This is the plot: Monkey D. Luffy has just set out on a journey to find the legendary treasure called one piece and become Pirate King, and is looking for a nakama (crew) to sail with him. I will tell you that you will fall 100% in love with each and every crew member as Luffy sails the seas. There is a lot of character development and you'll never get bored of them. Each arc of the story has it's own appeals (maybe except for 1 or 2) and excites the reader all the time. Not one character is left out or feels like they're there for no reason, they all have their own purpose and adds to the storyline. The plot itself, as I said is fairly straightforward and simple and really developed. The battles and fights are well-paced and brilliant.

To sum is up, One Piece is perfect, it is the best, no other words to explain it. And perhaps I'm just biased, because I love ONE PIECE.

So why should you read One Piece?

Story: 5/10

Koe no Katachi began smoothly. The exposition properly "exposed" the main characters, themes and foreshadows of the future plot. Every chapter and every page had its value in the overall story. Unfortunately, this did not last. As the plot progressed, it deteriorated. Its pacing greatly slowed down, nearly useless events were shown (a.k.a. fillers) and the character relationships decreased in growth.

Art: 4/10

The art is barely decent. In fact, it looks more like an American comic than Japanese manga. The intricate art that Japanese manga is known for is nowhere in the manga. The facial features seem like they are drawn without any effort. In fact, most characters have nearly identical faces. The hair also lacks shading and depth.

Character: 8/10

The characters of Koe no Katachi are its best aspect. From the first chapter, you can already tell that most of the characters have depth. Their personalities are realistic but likable. How they change due to different occurrences in their lives shows that their characters are truly well constructed. Being a slice-of-life manga, each character gives you a different "slice of life".

Enjoyment: 5/10

I began Koe no Katachi because of its praise on Tumblr. In the beginning, I loved it. However, as I read further, my passion for it went no farther. Each chapter released is barely even 20 pages long and often, nothing important would happen. Rather than enjoyment, I felt great impatience and annoyance.

Overall: 6/10

Koe no Katachi had great potential. Unfortunately, its potential was not flourished. It is, by far, the most overrated manga I've encountered.

I'm not even going to take y'all time by constructing an elaborate review. I'll keep it short by using the comparison of Tong to a letter. So, you know Tong is broken into Tong, Tong: Classified and Tong: Vanity. In letter writing, you have the Introduction, Body and Conclusion. You can assume that Tong is the "introduction" of the work, Tong: Classified is the "body" of the work and Tong: Vanity is the "conclusion" of the work.

By this point, we're drawn into the story of Tong and Lee Jung Woo. His past and what his future prospects are in the Gangster world is future elaborated in Classified. Tong: Classified is where I actually solidified my opinion that I enjoyed the entire Tong storyline more than Dokgo.

Have you heard of Franz Kafka? No? Well, actually, I expected that answer. Kafka was a peculiar philosopher, due to his disturbing works and texts and, at the same time, which combined existentialism and self-reflection. The author has not been properly recognized, even today, which is a pity, since many of his contents have a very high lyrical richness. Here we are and a couple of brothers decide to pay homage to this "silent icon", bringing a manga adaptation of one of the most interesting individuals in philosophy, for me. After finishing the title, I admit, the Nishioka Brothers did an incredible job on the author.

Starting from an investigation into symbolism, Kafka (manga) compiles some of Kafka's most interesting texts. The most famous is "Metamorphosis" (not to be confused with 177013, please), where Gregor Samsa isolates himself in his room upon realizing that he has become a monstrous creature. In addition to "Metamorphosis", it is worth mentioning "Jackals and Arabs" and "A Hunger Artist", where varied interpretations of the characters and their desires and instincts are fun to be debated. This is not to say that the rest of its 9 chapters are not good. In fact, each chapter is a different moment, an absorbed culture and a different way to enter Kafka's literature.

The Nishioka Brothers not only conveyed their feelings very well, they also brought an iconic way of making a manga. It is really amazing to follow the art and the chapters, since exclusivity and simplicity practically dance within the pages. Who knew that geometric features with rich details would be more beautiful than a masterpiece from a French museum. The manga is an art exhibition and a landmark for small and short works. There are rarely stories with very few chapters that are really good, but Kafka totally changed my thoughts. With less than 10 pages, I was already fascinated to want to discover what the invasive personification called "Odradek" really is, even though reflecting on it did not lead me to a conclusion. The poetic and even theatrical style also intensified the emotions of the pages. The shows of each story are precious, where it is always possible to collect a message, whether positive or tragic. It is interesting to see that it does not take much dialogue to understand all of this. With a simple observation in the manga's setting, it is possible to explore the ideas of the honored author.

And it's not just art and interpretation that Kafka is good at. Social issues and even a portion of the author's own internal can be extracted here. Who knew that we would have religion, murder, dictatorship and such good metaphors. The moment I highlight most is in the last chapter, "In the Penal Colony", where there is a subversion of oppressive and oppressed society, at the same time that cruelty and justice seem to be the same thing. Seeing a monster being punished, like an innocent civilian, is something that many cherish to happen, especially after 75 years of the period of Fascism and Nazism, two amazing political aspects. "In the Penal Colony" manages to cause discomfort with its pages without repetitive but purposeful texts and images, in view of its grotesque use of art. It is clear that the real author did not have this perception and this idea, in fact, he died even before the Second World War. But this reinterpretation has been more accurate than ever. A recycling? No. Honestly, it is a more than current topic, since the whole world is fighting for diplomacy and sides, as if it were a market for convincing and alienating.

Finally, Kafka should be happy to know that they paid such a great tribute in less than 200 pages. I even wonder who I really should credit for reading such good content. Nishioka brothers? Franz Kafka? I think that the harmony of the three individuals was what culminated in this beautiful example of adapting foreign content. It is really a pity to see that the Nishioka are not as well known, as is Kafka himself. But this is not a problem, as it is sometimes an honor to study and appreciate content in its greatest silence and calm. It didn't take a crowd to make me read these art chapters, and that's an honor for me. Imagine having La Gioconda in your room, just for you. It is exactly the same feeling that I feel reading the Nishioka manga. It is no different with Kafka. One more reading show, one more pleasing to the hearts of the little more than one hundred users who completed this treasure hidden in the depths of popularity. Read, not for me, but for yourself! It will be a unique experience!

Ever since she was little, she secretly dreamt of being a cute wife. Maehara Nina. She is a fashion model. Kajino Hoho. She is completely hopeless on her days off work. In the corner of entertainment world, in the dorm nicknamed Nezumisou, in order to survive the harsh battlefield known as the entertainment world and to become better, the girls compete day after day to enhance each other's skills to later become famous models, idols and singers.

It is just your weird slice of life, with some random funny moments and a grain of yuri, which has not been annoying in any way; it is not like in any ‘insert loli bait manga here’. Anyways, Ochikobore Fruit Tart is your favorite cute girls do cute things manga. There is hardly anything you have not seen yet.

All in all, Ochikobore Fruit Tart is getting an anime adaptation in July, 2020. My guess, as long as it does not focus too much on yuri and I also believe that any fan service will make this anime/manga even more mediocre, it should be good. Anyways, if done well, it can be quite a nice slice of life.

At first the premise seems like something that I would enjoy especially when it was recommended by a popular youtuber. However, upon reading only first few couple of chapter, it was really obvious to me that this is just another manga where the author tries to tackle a genre which he is not very good at. As a result, all you get is a story that tried to be psychological but only ended up being just surface level and predictable. There's no such thing as uniqueness or identity to it, it's just plain. To make it worse, there is a typical character who are created just to explain everything in the story without leaving any subtlety or mystery to it.

However, what really cause me to drop the manga is due to author silly decision to write backstory too early. Remember when you were reading an amazing manga and turned to a black page, you realized that was the time for an epic flashback backstory for the favourite character your love. In this manga, the author did that at chapter 4. You are still not attached to any of the character to care about them, but you already got their flashback and it was a whole chapter of it. I realized that I start skimming through the pages, just from drawings alone I can tell that its a basic backstory for that character trope. I decided to not waste time on it anymore.

I actually didn’t like this one, it was just weird.

It’s a story about a mother and daughter who live under a constant spot light. Shouko’s mother is a famous actress and Shouko is her proud daughter. Their relationship takes a turn when the feeling of jealously is brought to the surface.

The character development was probably the only redeeming quality. Shouko, oh boy… thank god she seemed to mature at the end. Though she’s probably still the most shallow and vain character I’ve ever come across, she does find her own means of self-worth. Shouko’s mother ends up seeing her daughter as a woman when the stability of her own relationship with her boyfriend becomes rocky. Her higher status as a unique mature woman crumbles into the normal fears and reality of all humans. The mother and daughter fight like high school girls over this man who feels nothing for either of them. Shouko is bitter towards her mother for always being the center of attention and wants to feel superior by stealing her boyfriend. Her mother just seems like she needs to be in control.

Ujou’s character [the man they fight over] was the only one that seemed relatable to me .He’s an attractive guy who’s just become lost. He doesn’t give off any true feelings for anyone or anything. It isn’t until he loses something important to him that he begins to show any passion.

Shouko’s friend Miu has her own side story. I’m not sure what this characters point was other than to show Shouko’s lack of concern/awareness for her friends. From the beginning you can pretty much guess what’s going on with Miu and she’ll probably be the only character you’ll feel anything for.

Maybe it went over my head but I didn’t really get anything out of this manga. It left me dissatisfied and irritated by the majority of it.

As I read this manhua, I felt like something big was missing. Though I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful and fluid art, I had a nagging thought in my head that said a chunk of the plot had been taken out, making the story... not really a story. Beauty Under the Moon is a little strange. It's extremely short, yet where other manhua rush through the plot, it seems to me that Beauty Under the Moon didn't rush as much as it omitted. What had the chance to be a beautiful story ended up holding little weight or deepness because of the flat execution.

There wasn't enough explanation where there needed to be, but there was an overabundance of it in other places. The plot moved sluggishly at one point and then skipped like a scratched CD. I found that what I predicted or guessed in the back of my mind usually came true, making the little twist disappointing and lacking in depth. At some points, I found myself completely baffled as to what had just happened. I felt like the author needed an editor, or maybe just more time to ponder over her story.

The characters here aren't necessarily special. There were places where more development could've been done, but the characters were still neglected. We got little things - tiny tidbits that didn't really matter - but nothing to really make us love the characters. They were like well-drawn faces with not enough emphasis put on personality. The way that the interacted, and even the dialogue or thoughts, felt unnecessary, with a character stating the obvious more than once.

Don't get me wrong, Beauty Under the Moon doesn't really insult or invoke hatred. It's just bland and in the end, the wasted potential is obvious. The art is beautiful - if only the actual content had been the same way.

The Sword of Dick that shines its way through the darkness.

Blade play contains too much nudity since it's an ecchi manga. Please, people who are under the age of 18 should at least avoid reading this manga. You can continue to read it once you're old enough though. Because I'm afraid you will copy our main character's actions of purging the girls in our world using your sword of light. Don't do it in real world if you want a happy, good life. Because the legendary sword is our main lead dick. Lewd? Hell yeah.

Story
I found out this manga is actually pretty funny. A hero who purges demons using his sword of light. One word. Lmao. Anyway! This story is about Sudo Kansuke, a pervert who searches porn on the internet to masturbate to. While he's busy taking care of his business (searching for porn to masturbate), suddenly, his computer screen becomes black and shows a message. Unknowingly, he just presses accept because he is too busy at that time taking care of his thing. Thus, he gets sucked into an RPG world where his thing is a sword of light to defeat the demon. Our MC gets to meet Yuno Algracia, a knight who is supposed to follow him to defeat the devil. A new journey for Sudo Kansuke who is completely hopeless. Can he finish this task?

Art
I think the art is simple but still good. Not perfect but average. Also, the art not the worst I've seen. Don't worry. Clearly better than Ninja slayer the animation. That's one awfully bad. It's terrible so much that I can't stop laughing.

Overall
The story's concept is far than unique. It's greatness certainly not for everyone. Therefore, prepare yourself before trying to get into this realm of nudity.

Personal comment - In all honesty, It's moeee!

tl;dr: A series with a random plot, a weak main cast, terrible villains, but really good art. 

I will preface this by saying that although I get that this is supposed to be a throwback to classic shounen in the 80s and 90s, I haven’t really read many manga like this, so the nostalgia factor isn’t really doing anything for me. From that point of view, I found this to be a mess. There are interesting concepts to the world, but the story is really haphazard in that it’s not clear what direction the story is going in at all or what they’re really trying to do. Rather the plot is that they’re just wandering around randomly and stuff happens. If it was a strong cast of characters, that could probably hold the series up, but unfortunately that isn’t the case here and the main cast is pretty flat and isn’t really all that likable. What’s worse is how the manga handles villains, wherein one of the villains that’s shown as being comical levels of awful in that he rapes the main characters friends to death, goes on without any major punishment or redemption to become a character that’s portrayed as one worthy of respect as a rival to the main character. Furthermore, the manga pretty much constantly fawns on this villain, with for some reason all the girls being in love with him and him never losing a battle. I’m not opposed to comically evil villains, but you can’t have a comically evil villain and then try to make them seem awesome. That’s just dumb. The story doesn’t end in a cliffhanger exactly, it didn’t really feel like there was enough plot to really do a cliffhanger, it just sort of ends without anything resolved yet. There’s a sequel series, but this is still a pretty weak way to end part 1. The humor was pretty hit and miss. The action was decent. The art at least is really good.
