Saikyou Gamer, Isekai nite Jikkyou Play-chuu review
Don't you just hate it when you get a job as a manager, only to find out you have to manage a small house in a fantasy world? [The series is on Hiatus. Be aware that no new volumes might ever come. Update: MAL now says it's finished, so it's probably been cancelled.]

Story: I've read a lot of isekai, but this is probably the best one. And here is why. The Main Character has a clear goal, since he was hired specifically to do something. It's easy and simple, yet interesting. He travels around the near area, meets a lot of people and creates a whole new life for himself. This is known as "World Building", and this story does is perfectly. And if the protagonist does a good job, he might even get a raise and a permanent position after the three months trail period!

Art: The art is very beautiful, but there is a fairly big difference between the color pages and black'n white illustrations. Cute furry girls though.

Characters: Kousaka Aoi is without a doubt one of the better protagonists in the "game/fantasy" novels that is everywhere these days. He's a thinking, strategy style gamer, so this survival / manager role is really fitting and makes for an interesting read. He analyzes where he is, what he can do to survive and how to increase his living standard. He should be likable enough for anyone.

Then there's the Furry girl, Ann. She's a cute, hardworking girl that helps Aoi like an assistant. She's probably the main heroine, and a likable character if you like furry girls. Most characters are pretty much the standard types, but they are made in a good way and won't be ruining the story at least. And it's very nice to not have one of those girls with just cat ears and a tail. The girls here are like actually furry (animals that act like humans, more or less).

Overall, this series feels like it could be a fairly original work in these times of overwhelmingly many "isekai" stories. The way it handles the situation of traveling to the other world, and the "game mechanics" is very well done. But it's a bit too relaxed and slice-of-life to make a real impact. It's very funny and entertaining if you enjoy the genre. But it does leave you wanting more. The whole "dungeon-manager" thing is just overlooked. It's even called a "labyrinth" most of the time. But it looks like a peaceful paradise apparently. What. Da. Hell!? *facepalm*

Luckily, I like slow world-building stories with strong character development. Of course, the first volume might simply be the "introduction", and it could start moving faster in the coming volumes.

+ Good Art
+ Likable Protagonist
+ Hilarious 'Reviews' in the story
+- A bit Slow
- "Dungeon" Manager might've been a translation error, since there's no dungeon?

Grashros review
Grashros was that kind of manga that fooled everyone by the book cover of the five volumes.

The story begins with the premise of having happened 30,000 years in the past and follows the story of the character Akuu, the cursed child, born during the night of a blood moon, said to bring calamity upon all, and his attempt to fight destiny.

I ask myself this question before I start reading a new story of manga: - What is the purpose of reading; of the story itself?

In general, the characters work and the reader grows along with them, namely the children. With this, the story grows at an incredible rate to a point where it seems that for the manga not to be cancelled, the artist drew in a rush to finish this particular work (in much the same way that happened to Tite Kubo when he needed to finish Bleach at the end of vol.74), so I don't need to say more.

The biggest problem with this five-volume series is that everything Akuu does has happened in other stories, which means there is no originality. I don't understand why non-renowned artists in the industry use a form of writing that doesn't work for them, being independent (where 90% of readers outside Japan don't know them).

The story had a lot of potentials but time was tight to draw 50 chapters of an original story. I repeat, original. The Japanese manga publishing market is not ready to leave the comfort zone and this is one of the thousands of examples where the market is damaged, artists leave with a bad reputation and everything turns into a snowball. When the protagonist's purpose is revenge, then the artists must show that feeling.
Of course, not everything is bad since I became a big fan of the art of artist Akeji Fujimura. I will probably read more of his works.

Story: 7 | Art: 8 | Character: 7 | Enjoyment: 7

Cerberus Jam review
This manga's story line is very unique. I've read quite a bit manga from various genre, lengths, and styles so far in my life, but I don't recall a single one really similar to Cerberus Jam. The blend of action, suspense, comedy, etc was so savory that not only do I want to reread it but buy my own copy-though I don't even know if they sell translated copies (- - ; Anyway, the art I really loved. The mangaka drew them so skillfully. The expressions of the characters faces were depicted so well! As for the characters not too creative personality-wise. Though to me they seem relevant in the story line. I'm not saying they're bad or annoying , they're still quite likable. Now for the over all enjoyment mainly applies to how I was saying the blend of blah bla blah was magnificent. Really is was how you get some good laughs and action too for example- unless you're really hard to amuse. I've heard and read how readers wish or were upset that is should've been longer, but I think its great the way it is. Like how Alice went to wonderland and come back with a different view of mind or whatever. Its the same in this story, you were just an ordinary person nothing is wrong with you or your life suddenly taken to an unknown, different world. You experience and learn something that comes only once in a lifetime. I recommend this to readers who enjoy a good story, not caring about the length, popularity, or perfection.

Tokyo Girls Destruction review
For something I accidentally ran into, it was quite amusing.

Story - 7/10

This type of story has been done before; a group of people separated from the outside world living by a new set of rules that have been forced upon them. Put this together with the hint of mystery which would be the “Why is this happening?” and you got yourself a story. The pacing of the story was quite fast, as to be expected of a manga with only fifteen chapters. But, in my opinion this is okay because if it would have been longer it would have become tedious.

Art - 8/10

I personally really liked the art. The characters were portrayed in an amazing way in which it would suite their character perfectly. The only problem I had was that the facial expressions of many characters were not convincing, which slightly ruins the moment at certain points.

Character - 4/10

At first the set of characters seemed great but they turn out to be quite boring. The characters all fit the story nicely and it is very interesting in the beginning. Too bad there was not a lot of good character development going on. Every character stays the same until almost the end of the story, then they abruptly change.

Enjoyment - 7/10

Even though I have seen and read this type of story hundreds of times already, I must say I enjoyed this work. Now I must mention that I am a fan of this type of works, but hear me out. The plot was executed in a believable and convincing way and the mystery kept me reading until the last page. And even though there is not a lot of development going on, the characters are still likeable.

Overall - 7/10

The story has been done before and the characters do not develop well. In my opinion you should not go and read this with high expectations because they will not be fulfilled. Why should you read it anyway? Because even though the story has been done before it is fun to see how it develops, you can enjoy the nice art style and it’s only fifteen chapters after all. You will not need long to finish reading this but you feel satisfied afterwards, and is that not the most important?

Tsuki no Shizumu made review
A quick review for those debating whether to read this short series since there were no reviews.

Story: 5
As the synopsis reveals, the aim of the main character (Iori) is to achieve revenge for his father. The “surprises” in the series weren’t all that surprising and had crossed my mind as strong possibilities prior to their reveal. The series ending left me unsatisfied, and I was left wondering whether the ending was the intended ending from the start, or if the author was told to cut the story short.

Art: 8
The best part of the series was the art. It wasn’t anything amazing, but it was pleasant to look at overall.

Characters: 5
All the characters were boring. It was hard to like or sympathize with the main character or his friend/servant. While you were left disliking the “villains”, it wasn’t anything special beyond the general “that guy is awful”, and not at all connected to the revenge.

Enjoyment: 5
The score is kind of a given between the story and character scores. Art alone can’t make a manga enjoyable. This series truly failed as a drama.

Overall: 5
Should you read this series? If you’re looking for a quick series to read, and don’t mind not getting much out of it, sure. If you’re someone who finds one or two hours spent on a boring series a complete waste of time, then you should pass on reading this series.

Hope this helped!

ANNE FREAKS review
I was intrigued by the cover and decided to give Anne Freaks a try and it was well worth it and it's encouraged me to read some of Yua Kotegawa's other works.

The opening definitely drew me in as it introduces Yuri Kitagawa burying his mother which is definitely a good way to get someone to keep reading to find out his motive for killing his mother, while Yuri is disposing of his mothers body a mysterious girl (Anna Todou) offers to help him if he promises her to kill her father and as the story progresses we learn more about the characters and the cult that her father belongs to (The Kakusei Group) it's a decent plot and doesn't get boring as you read on but it's nothing ground-breaking which is fine due to it being short.

Due to Anne Freaks being quite short a lot of aspects such as character development and the plot feel a bit huddled together but it's not a bad thing because while reading I was still enjoying it regardless of it's small but not major faults.

The art is quite good as well which is an added bonus.

As I continued to read I found myself getting invested in the characters and their revenge against the Kakusei Group and the plot remained interesting throughout and I really enjoyed it for what it is.

There's also some humour thrown in as well although sometimes it works well and other times it feels slightly out of place.

If you want a nice short interesting read with a bit of romance, violence and psychological aspects Anne Freaks will deliver and it's worth the read.
