Big Order review
Big Order is horrendous!

Everything in this series puts an fowl taste in my mouth, literally making me cringe and deform my face every time it did anything.

Before anything, I want to talk about the super powers in this series known as "Orders."

"Orders" are just "Stands" from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
If you read ANY review or comment section of Big Order, people are going to compare this series to Jojo. However, I want to get into why this bother me so much.

Stands, in Jojo, are defined as "Life energy" that are given a visual form and "stand" next to it's user, or is a "physical manifestation" of their "fighting spirit." That is kind of vague, but it gives you a general idea of what it is.

In Big Order, Orders are defined as "a supernatural power that's granted by a fairy," as a result of a "wish."

... That's it. That's the only explanation we get. It never explains how they really work, or why they appear as skeletons, or anything, really. Orders are just super vague reasons why these characters have super vague powers that stem from super vague wishes.

The problem with Orders, compared to Stands, is that the series just kind of expects you to know that it's a rip-off. The writer felt that, since people will know what Stands are, that they don't have to explain what they are. You just GET IT.

But, this backfires. The writer tries to also make Order seems different from Stands, as they seem to follow a different set of rule. The rules are NEVER explained, but they don't seem to act like Stands. If you want to know the "rules" of Stands, please just look them up, this is long enough as it is.

Basically, it tries to have it's cake and eat it too.

Now, onto the characters...

The character are boring. They look bland, they act bland, their wishes and powers are bland.

The main character, Hoshimiya Eiji, is such whiny bitch throughout the 4 chapters I've read. He is constantly talking about how the world is shit and it's "All my fault" (albeit the world seems just fine). This can work, but the way this series goes about doing it comes off a VERY melodramatic and annoying. He also has the power to "control everything in his zone" because he wanted to "conquer the world," but never explains how this works. It's just a weird square below him with a mummy in it and things happen.

The main girl, Yuno from Mirai Nikki, is just that, YUNO FROM MIRAI NIKKI! She's just some bland Yandere girl with no personality, other than that she's a Yandere. Her power is the "heal really fast," so fast that she is immortal. Also, she has a skeleton for a Stand.

Neo from the Matrix is in it, and bunch of other generic characters that don't "stand" out at all.

In short, BIG ORDER is shit. Read Jojo.

Boku to Kanojo no XXX review
I picked the manga out randomly, because after reading its summary the story of a boy and a girl switching bodies could be fun and good. Well, definitely not this one.

Story: 3/10
The story was really poorly written. When there could've been lots of funny and lovely moments and cute character relationships, there was only a bland and annoying story with dreadful characters. Things happened one after another, as if the mangaka didn't spare much thought to any of them.

Art: 4/10
The art was kinda bland and the faces were mostly expressionless. There were also a lot of frames where the characters were stocky and not well drawn. The girls' eyes seemed teary all the time. And the character designs weren't well done, especially Senbongi. The mangaka's beauty ideals seem to be very...behind.

Character: 1/10
This is the worst part of the manga. The characters' personalities were really awful and seemed to be goven little consideration.
Starting with Akira. It isn't normal that a boy is such a crybaby as him. Well, it can be so to a certain extent, but he just weeps and weeps all the time, which is annoying. I doubt if any girl could weep as much as him.
Momoi is much too...evil. And egoistic. For example, when Akira seeks a way to turn their bodies back to normal, she so bluntly refuses, having stolen Akira's family and good life, leaving him only her freaky grandfather. She just doesn't consider his feelings at all. And she also freaks out when he only looks at her body, while she even beds women in Akira's. And she's such a slut, going out with other women while actually dating Shiina, but at the same time claims to care deeply about her (which was surely meant to be something cute and deep, which it wasn't).
And SENBONGI. He's just disgusting. He falls for Akira in Momoi's body and then starts attacking him, getting really close to raping, and would've actually done it, too, if Akira hadn't narrowly escaped him each time. And Akira LIKES IT. Any normal girl would be disgusted and frightened, but he only thought how good a kisser Senbongi was. He actually was falling for him. And Senbongi also looks so terrible with his long hair and glasses. The appearance would be okay, if he was meant as a laughing stock sort of a character, but the mangaka seemed to consider him as a normal, even sexy guy. Ew. And the worst part was, even after Senbongi learns Akira and Momoi have switched bodies, he still continues pursuing Akira. And his personality isn't also well thought out. With Akira, he is really flirtative and isn't embarrassed at all, even when being continuously turned down. But when Momoi in Akira's body wants to change clothes in the same room, he gets really embarrassed, which doesn't match his usual personality at all.
One thing that made me gawk was the reaction of Akira's parents after his dramatic change of personality. Instead of worrying what has happened to their son they're glad that Akira has changed, claiming that 'there was always something wrong with him' just because he was manly enough for them. Shouldn't parents love their kid, no matter his personality or manliness?

Enjoyment: 2/10
I didn't enjoy the manga. It didn't make me laugh even once. I doubt I even smiled at the wannabe jokes. The terrible characters and their relationships didn't offer me any enjoyment.

Overall: 2/10
I don't recommend this manga to anyone. I can't imagine anyone liking it (even though I see that some do).
Still, the manga isn't worth reading. Trust me.
