Nephylym review
(Some spoilers may follow)

Story: I personally think that this series does a great job at blending drama and battle scenes together wonderfully. What I really like about the plot is how the characters are fighting against Noir, clusters of negative emotions from people, which ends up becoming a character development scene most of the time for the main characters (anyone who has read my Kamichama Karin Chu review will know that Karin made me sore, so I appreciate development). What I like even more is how the Noir can be encased in objects, so the characters don't always fight humans. Every battle I've seen in this series so far is meaningful, and I'm looking forward to see how this series ends.

Art: There's tone all over the place, but it gives all the pages such a nice shade. Rei draws very soft and luscious wings, so it's nice to see Air, Blissful, or Soleil on any page. What I think would be really good for this artwork is if it was a tad shinier during the happier moments, that way it'd look like those had more meaning. Also, I'd like it if Tsukasa's flames LOOKED like flames, it took me a while to realize that's what they were. It tends to look like a shaded towel's coming out of his glasses.

Character: Shun is supposed to be the typical teenager (minus the electricity power part), but I actually like him so much better than Takeya from DearS or that Keichi from Ah! My Goddess. The author gave him an adorable quality of being easily embarrassed, and how he doesn't like to get involved in anything (in these scenes this quality tends to be funny). I also enjoy Air's love of the shiny, and how she can be such a timid and sensitive girl, just like a toddler. Sanari throws me for a loop, since she's a normal ditsy school idol. The worst part about her is that (you can't avoid seeing it) her boobs GROW and then SHRINK. If you read two chapters, you'll see. Finally, Tsukasa is a fun guy to have in any chapter, since even though he's serious, his own battle scenes are hilarious. He uses his glasses as a weapon, so he can't see what he's hitting, therefore ensuing comic cheer. Overall, I love all the character in this series.

Enjoyment: With everything put into one, you can't deny this series's enjoyment. It's got a bit of everything for everyone. Romance between Shun and Sanari (though I support Shun and Air), Fantasy battle scenes of electricity and flames, drama about old friends long past, you name it (besides gore, there's blood, but not that much).

Overall: It's a shame I can't find this in stores anymore, it's not that old. I believe each chapter is only going to bring better and better developments, though the fact that it ends at book three worries me. I fear it might have a rushed and complicated ending. Hopefully, my fears will pass me by when I get to read it.

TERROR review
Esta review también está en español.

The feeling of dread and anticipation that precedes the horrifying experience. That's terror. It's a terrible feeling, which can paralyze or even kill you. However, in a controlled dose, fear can be... fun. For some reason, many people (including me) enjoy being scared... so, when I saw the name of this one shot, I was instantly attracted.

Terror's story is about a girl who's disturbed every night by a strange visitor. Every midnight, when she tries to sleep, hears footsteps and other weird sounds that get closer and closer, and...

...well, enough. Since this only has nine pages, more details would ruin the surprise. The creeps start with how normal everything looks... typical house, typical teenager... and yet, something's about to happen. Something unavoidable? Dangerous? Harmless? That's what lures us. And I have to say... the most frightening of this manhwa is that, sadly, many of you could feel identified with the brutal end. That's the most disturbing of all: it could happen to you.

The drawing is very good. Both protagonist and environment are pretty detailed, and portray effectively the atmosphere of tension and despair. Miss Kyung Jin put a lot of effort on it.

I usually end this kind of things with a recommendation, but I don't think that's necessary this time. The fact that this only has nine pages will attract more people than anything I could write. Prepare to be scared... or not.
Enjoy!
--------

Disfruten!

PiNKS review
When I was a kid, I didn't know what gender was. There was a time when I was playing with my neighborhood who was a girl (is also actually my aunt who's one year older than me). I couldn't remember exactly why she groped my crotch and it was hurt. She then ran and I successfully caught her and tried to grope the thing between her legs in hoping she could feel the same pain as me but I was surprised that I didn't feel anything there. I was asking her why she didn’t have that thing there and she didn’t answer. It was years later that I came to an understanding that I am a guy and she is a girl, that’s why we are different.

Curiosity is something that couldn’t be separated from a kid, that’s why childhood times is amazing. Everyday is like an adventure to discover new things. We saw, we heard, we felt and later we formed our pre-conception of the things surrounded us and did some research to clarify it. Some of kid like to make the concept by their own, while some others like to ask their parents or other adult people to understand the thing better. But there are some things considered as taboo or strange to be known as a kid, and one of them is regarding love and gender. So adult tends to lie or hide it and told the kids that there will be a time when they’ll understand. It’s normal and that’s how it is.

PiNKS is about two young kids, a boy and a girl, who’re curious of what sex is and how it is related to love. The main girl, Akagi, blatantly shows her curiosity to her peer and adult and finds it strange that people avoid to talk about the subject with her. Soon she tries to discover it together with one of her classmates, Yahiko, who’s also curious after Akagi provokes him. And their adventure to a new discovery begins.

Their attempt to discover it is rather simple, it’s just to find a H-book. Well, what you expect from young kids, anyway?. But it doesn’t mean it’s not interesting to see. In this simple premise we could see the two young kids try their best to get a H-book and develop a bond each other.

Sadly, the manga is so short it doesn’t go beyond its premise. But still, it’s already so unique and interesting for its premise alone. Not mention that the manga still manages to tell us the reason behind Akagi’s curiosity despite how short it is.

The art style for the background artwork is also interesting and adds the seinen vibe to it for using a similar technique with a well known seinen mangaka, Oshimi Shuuzo, while the character are still drawn in normal fashion using the author unique style and design.

I’m surprised this manga hasn’t been read by many people yet.

Tanaka: Nenrei Equal Kanojo Inaireki no Mahoutsukai the Comic review
It's a weird story.

I'd just end my review there but thanks to word limits I must scrounge up some stuff to put here.

I was initially disappointed cause I at first saw only the girl character on the cover and thought that this story will have a female MC in a fantasy setting. I love it when we get those and the story isn't based on love. Hard to find them but they're usually gems when I do.

The art is probably the weirdest thing about this. The character designs and backgrounds are surprisingly detailed. It's not what I'd expect of a story like this.

The MC is kind of funny and weird at the same time. He is so nonchalant about everything. I guess the best way to describe him is a discount "Saitama" His character model is weird in that he is much older than most stories. I guess it goes with the story and the story wouldn't work that well if it was some 17-Year-Old Japanese boy.

The comedy is pretty good and the story isn't shy and look away from things like Boobs or characters having sex.

My favorite character is the Female Knight Gaurd that is also a Lesbian. So some sweet sweet Yuri action. I'd love the story was just about her and her dealings always trying to find a woman to sleep with. I imagine she will do something and is owed a favor from some girl and she calls in the debt that the girl has to sleep with her. I'd love to see the reaction of the girl.

Overall this is a weird and surprising story. But mostly weird.

Shino-chan wa Jibun no Namae ga Ienai review
TL;DR: Read the first chapter. If you like it keep reading, if you don't then stop there, because it is just more of the same.

On a personal level and a critical level, I did not enjoy shino-chan wa jibun no namae ga Ienai. However, I do understand why some people might. It's different than most people read and sometimes that is enough.

Story:4
The story has a syncopated rhythm to it, which could have been effective if the events had any actual impact (besides the ending, which was impactful, but not well written). The story spun its wheels for a while, making it hard to be invested in the plot.

Art:6
The art is pretty average for the most parts. The intense drawings at certain sections were off-putting and strange, although it actually helped in this case.

Character:2
The characters are irrational and unrelatable. Because they tend to be irrational, nothing is out of character for them. It is possible that they were meant to be irrational because they are young teenagers, but either way it was detrimental to the story. There wasn't a single likable character, and I couldn't relate to them either, so there was no point to them.

Enjoyment:4
I accidentally laughed at a few points, and a few spots were adorable, but for the most part it wasn't a good time. After reading it, I wasn't upset at having my time wasted, but I won't feel like re-reading it, and if time went backwards I would have just skipped it. However those are my personal feelings on the story. From a critical point of view it is worth a bit more.

Overall:4
In a way, this story reminds me of Hatsukoi Shinjuu. They both deal with odd subjects and deals with them in unique ways. Even though I didn't enjoy either of them on a personal level, I understand why others might find something in them.

Seichou Cheat de Nandemo Dekiruyou ni Natta ga, Mushoku dake wa Yamerarenaiyou desu review
It's your typical japanese isekai, if you've read one you've read them all. But that doesn't stop us from doing so. Isekai is my guilty pleasure be it in manga or manhua/manwha, I just love them because they offer so much room to create an amazing story. But authors only seem to cater to a certain audience so the quality gets heavily affected.

I'll give some mild general spoilers so beware.

- One scene in the beginning really annoyed me. He said he didn't want any cheat powers or anything that will make him a demon lord but ends up choosing a freaking OP blessing. And he never talked about it after and just acts as if he always wanted to be OP.

- I don't mind OP MCs at all, I read fantasy because I love weak to strong stories but this dude is just way too OP. He can be anything, choose any jobs, he acquire experience related to other jobs/skills by doing totally unrelated tasks. In the beginning the author drew his skill board but he got so tired of his own bullshit of giving the mc a new skill every 5 minutes that he stopped. But i'm sure with this the author will still somewhat make him weak against certain enemies although he break the balance of the world.

- Now let's talk about the harem. I don't mind them when they are done well and I have to say the relationship with the first girl was really good. It's as cliche as it gets but for once the MC doesn't shy away from doing some regular back and forth action with her. My only pet peeve is he completely ignores the other girls with him. What's the point of having him form a party with plenty of girls if his attention will only be on one. It's annoying to us readers and it's somewhat even worse that when the MC is not interested in any of them. Maybe it will change somewhere down the line.

- As for the plot, it is implied that there is one. At least we know something is brewing behind the scene unbeknownst to our MC and i'm sure it will magically find its way to him. So far its nothing really important, just a slice of life power fantasy harem.
