Monster is a puzzle that completes itself throughout the storyline. The author puts you in the place of the protagonist Dr. Tenma and questions the mysteries surrounding Johan Liebert that one by the way is one of the best constructed characters a work could have, Johan has a very complex and mysterious history. Which makes the reader join Tenma on this journey to unravel the twists and turns about the character, this leads to a plot with several questions and Plot twists, all well thought out and well developed.


However, it is not only that that makes Monster one of the best works ever produced, the secondary characters have their importance in the script so that you can link everything to an unexpected event, Urasawa Naoki is a genius in the field of psychology, he can create such a deep dystopian mind that it really impresses readers, following this line of reasoning throughout the work you will understand this mind that is a maze that has fallen into darkness making it a character with utter emptiness.

Monster is a work for those who like investigation and mystery with many questions and an interpretative ending that is magnificent at the same time.

"Look at me! Look at me! The monster inside of me has grown this big".

Monster - the Midwit Masterpiece

There are few mangas/animes that I regret reading/watching, but Monster is definitely one of them. It is an absolute bore with zero payoff, an incredibly unsatisfying ending that renders a majority of the plot meaningless, as well as unrealistic and uninteresting characters.

Ultimately it boils down to a mostly episodic series where the main character Tenma roams around Europe helping everyone in his path. There are a lot of sappy exchanges, but I really couldn't find myself caring about any of these random people. The evil characters are over-the-top and sinister, something I noticed right away, and that never stops. Since the show tries to portray itself as a serious drama this is a major problem.

All the while the author scatters little overarching plot hints to keep you hooked and excited to learn more. By the end most of these things are left unexplained or in some cases contradicted. As I said earlier, it is incredibly unsatisfying.

I really feel that this series is a street cred series, one you say you enjoyed to show your good taste. But it ultimately fails to do what manga or anime should do, and that's entertain. It's a bore, a slog with no payoff.

Koe no katachi is a master piece and is one of the very few shounen manga which is routed to the ground with its realistic characters as well as situations. The manga deals with bullying at a young age and how it influences the characters in the story. It isn't a simple redemption story of a bullied bully as it goes through many different situations in life that we don't sometimes evaluate like what it means to have a friend, what it means to live and what it means to change.

Art: The art is very realistic as it's not the normal perfect looking people in manga; these people are real with individual traits. Also the way in which the characters emotions are portrayed on their faces and through their body language are once again very realistic as it allows you to identify with these emotional(sometimes awkward) experiences which everyone has been through. Finally the way in which the author incorporates the sign language into the speech and illustrations is fantastic.

Story: The story is great as it feels genuine as everyone has been a part of bullying on either side of the line. Also the way the story goes is superb as it avoids the normal manga clichés.

Character:The characters in this manga make it as they are all relatable and well layered from the mains to the branch characters.

If you are a fan of manga I would highly recommend that you read koe no katchi as is amazing !!!

Yes, this is a manga about wheelchair basketball. I've enjoyed SLAM DUNK, but this manga is so much more than just the sports itself.


The story is a roller coaster throughout. It isn't a tear jerker, but accurately depicts the highs and lows of life. The characters are very humanlike, the mistakes they make haunt them, and yet they are constantly pushing despite being set back by life. This book is inspiring, not in a traditional sports manga type of way. It inspires you to be better, and shows you that people are able to forgive themselves and move on. The art is obviously a 10, as it drawn by Takehiko Inoue.

Story - 8
Looking at the synopsis, you can already tell that shit gonna go down. The MC apparently just got seperated/divorced from his wife and lost his job. The fact that his dad died and he had to move for the burial proceeds signalled the first major point of the story. Homie was planning to permanently stay there!!! It was at the moment he announced this decision to the locals of the countryside community, the story picks up. I'll tell you right now, the MC is a pain in the ass and I like him for that! He's inquisitive and attentive. So, since all the above questions were bugging him, he decides to take it up on himself to investigate.

The locals were like, 'Is that what you finna do? Okay. Challenge accepted!'

Art - 9
Very nice to the eyes and colourful. I mean, this is a modern manhwa, this ain't no black and white shit!!! It reminds me of cartoons from Cartoon Network from my childhood for some reason haha. You won't be disappointed in this aspect, trust me.

Character - 10
In my opinion, this is the strongest part of this manhwa. All the characters are well crafted, even a weak character is well crafted here. This is a serious manhwa through and through, no comedic aspects anywhere. That's a huge plus for me. I don't really like comedy going with my mysteries and thrillers to be fair.

There's a lot of dialogue in this manhwa, so you have to pay attention to those (who said what and to whom) more than the norm. Why I say that is because during dialogues like phone conversations (and other instances), they don't always signify who's saying what. You'll have to be attentive enough to discern who's saying this part and who's replying based on your intuition and knowledge of the characters, which is based on how you've understood them. Quite fun too.

You know, when it comes to interactions with humans, there's the saying, 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer'. This manhwa is a pure example of how that saying is put to practise at different moments. The MC to the Village Chief+his accomplices (and vice-versa) and a person from the MC's past to the MC (one way street yo!).

Also, there comes a time when you're in a bind and the only person you know can help is someone you hate/dislike genuinely. What do you do? You grit your teeth, swallow your pride and seek them out for help, irrespective of how things went in the past between you and the person. This is shown here in an actual realistic format. You guys never become friends or anything, you keep beefing, but you get helped.

Also, on characters, all the relevant characters in this manhwa got dirt (which is pretty much realistic if you ask me).

Enjoyment - 9
I thoroughly enjoyed this, even though they wasn't much action. I did have to hop from one source to another to actually read it in its entirety, I did say it wasn't complete on MangaZone. The realistic nature of the manhwa was a plus with its thrills and mysteries. The mystery aspect doesn't disappoint, it was consistent. It was unpredictable at some unexpected moments (which is meant to be the general idea right?).

Also, the works of this author tends to win awards and get adapted to TV Series and Movies. There's a Live Action movie for Moss out already, it earned big bucks apparently. Check it out if you interested. (I know I am!)

- Serious tone and no comedy.
- Good art from start to finish.
- Consistent mystery.
- Over all, there's no boredom with this manhwa.
- That bitch ain't loyal!! (Hahaha you'll understand once you read it.)

Since this is the first review on this manga, I thought I'd introduce you, the potential reader, to its theme, tone and mood rather than focusing on specific areas and critiquing them.
The manga begins in a modern day setting where a group of college students are led by their classmate to the island she comes from. Now of course, this island is not what it looks like, with the sidelong glances of the hosts and the simmering mood that is present. This mood culminates in a hunt for "intruderss" (the college students) who are not allowed to witness the "ceremony" of the island. I'll leave the rest for you to find out but it's fair to say that the story goes down a dark path and over the duration of the manga (so far) it continues to decline into even darker themes.
Finally, to wrap up this review, I'd like to focus on Tarou, the protagonist of the story, who is delightfully explored over the duration of the manga so far. His descent towards madness is delightfully entertaining and it's interesting to see what lengths he'll go to in order to achieve his goals, something which many mangas fail to encapture.
Overall, this manga is not a masterpiece and neither is it spectacular. It is a good read with a plot that twists and turns, making the manga as a whole, very entertaining. A solid 7/10 from me.

This Story is quite funny but for someone who
like story's with an end it's not recommendable

If you want your typical tsundere female lead and sadistic yet soft male lead then you find it here. A fun popcorn-y manga to quickly read. It doesn't do anything groundbreaking, but if this is the kind of stuff you like to read, then you'll enjoy this story.

Just ignore the dubious age difference and pretend that she's old enough to do these things with him if you're worried about the legality even though they're married anyways.

However, if you're not into incest, don't read the last chapter. It completely ruins the fun and silliness of the first few and gets really weird really fast.

Where do we start with this manga? how about the name. Just in the name itself you already know it's one of those long names that are a full sentence that ask or begs a question, a meme (if you wanna call it that) that has been crippling the Light Novel community for almost a decade now. Since the name of the manga has a Light Novel title (that is ironically based off a light novel by the same title) you find the main character (a suicidal NEET) waking up in a barn in medieval Europe and finds a sword and ... you know the rest, there's some info dump about the world which takes a lot of chapters, i'm guessing the author did this to avoid having to explain things later on but really annoying for a manga like this.

The Manga is ecchie oriented so there is a lot of NSFW scenes in it, even to the point where the main character sleep with his sex slave, yes that's right his sex slave, go read it if you want to know how and why. Overall the manga is nothing unique and just plays on the same isekai trope that has been going on for years except this one is based off a main character that wants to build a harem to curb his sex drive, i'll check back in a couple of months or years to see what has changed with this manga but so far, nothing unique in particular.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei 2.0

If Tatsuya was lazier and wasn't in a world where magic is everything. Basically it's just like an Isekai with all the monsters and etc. but instead the mc going to another world with the rest of his class, the magic creatures are coming to Japan. Basically read the Mahouka Kouko no Rettousei summary cancel out the part about other people having magic powers and him being an elite child soldier and its this manga. Comes complete with an annoying female classmate and a little sister who loves her brother who from some reason get along despite being rivals.
