In an attempt to read another Suzuka, I read frogman. If you like sports and romance this is probably a manga you should check out.

The story follows a shy boy and in his conquest to get the better of himself in many aspects of his life. One day he meets a girl on the swim team, who is extremely talented at swimming and loves it. From the start the girl has quite a bit of interest in him the boy being quite dense thinks his love for her is one sided. Of course another girl shows up, a moody tsundere! Who hates everything about our fine male protagonist, and how pathetic he is, however soon comes to love him.

In terms of a story, I think this would be far better off as a rom com, the sport aspect of this manga is a huge turn off because I feel like it was done poorly, and in terms of comparing it to other sport romances like Suzuka it really falls short.

The artwork is very nice and I can appreciate it and the faces and backgrounds.


All in all, if your interested in swimming with some romance this is for you but dont expect it to be top notch, this manga had potential to be really good, but dont let that stop you from reading it.
