Dark Mage review

I shan't tell the story, because the summary is already up there, and frankly, that would ruin it for you. I'll just say that the story centers around a hunchback with an attitude. It begins, I believe, in Korea, way back when, on an earth that is somewhat parallel to ours. But the main story takes place in a whole other world with fantasy creatures and magic.

I'm not especially interested in this type of manga - fantasy, dragons, fighting, etc. - but I looked into it because the cover had a guy with long red hair. Basically I wanted to see the art. I didn't begin at the first chapter but the 12... and the art stunned me. It is absolutely amazing: the art, the sequences, the action. So I read the whole thing through til the latest update. I give the art a 10. No hesitation.

The story is interesting, but not highly original. There aren't any women so far that last longer than 1 chapter, but I feel that might change soon. Most of the men have long hair (about 80%), but it's not difficult to tell the differences. There isn't a inkling of romance, and thank god. If there were and it was done in a typical manga style, I'll stop reading. The art is graphic, but so far no bare skin.

In overall, you oughtta read this. :3
