After seeing a preview for this, I immediately wanted to watch it. The story of a bully, Shouya Ishida, and a deaf girl, Shouko Nishimiya, is heart warming, and unique. You go through the story, thinking that Ishida, will carry on bullying Nishimiya, but that is not the case. As the story progresses, you really see their friendship develop, and the fact that Ishida really tries hard, to be her friend, and help her out, even if he bullied her at first. I feel like overall, the storyline does to some extent, reflect today's society, and people bully just for the attention. I feel like it did capture reality in the story. Overall, great story, it was certainly something different, and if there was a sequel to it, I would gladly read that too.
