(My first review)
You can ignore my ratings since they aren't relavent to this review.

I'll first say that I am not a HUGE FAN of NGNL, I think it is a 8/9 at best not the second coming of christ. I started reading this just as I started reading the spice and wolf LNs, and simply put this series does not read well.

The volumes that ive read are
some of volumes 1-3 (adapted by anime)
volume 4-5
and volume 7

Volume 6 is NGNL zero which I watched the movie for
I also didnt like the NGNL movie because the fanservice (with the loli) really rubbed me the wrong way. I cant really explain it rationally since I can handle it in say monogatari but whatever, back on topic

The biggest issue with the novels is how SLOW they feel. Its impossible to enjoy these after experiencing the fast pace of the anime and the writing itself just isnt interesting (perhaps the translators fault). Aside from that there are no good additions to the cast in the 3 volumes I read, and the games have been soooo boring. The worst of which was in volume 4, which used the setting of a dating game, no mindgames, nothing.

The NGNL novels are boring, dont waste your time with these. If you want to read a good LN that is a continuation of a series read the RE:zero light novels (not webnovel) or the Spice and Wolf LNs. Both of these are great, and replicate the watching experience of the anime much better than NGNL

Out of the few LNs ive read (NGNL, some of PsyCome, Re zero, and Spice and Wolf) NGNL is by far the worst

TLDR;
The NGNL LNs are boring and slow, read Re:Zero or spice and wolf instead
