This is a non-spoiler review.
It was better than the sequel not gonna lie. Kaneki is quite a decent character in this one and frankly, I liked the entire war within the MC where he struggles to find where he belongs, what he is. Kaneki is an interesting character but he definitely isn't mature enough especially decision wise. The story is not bad, I like the idea, just not a fan of the execution. If you're planning on reading it, it is, as expected, better than the anime (especially Tokyo Ghoul A - we don't talk about that), but I suggest not to... continue with Tokyo Ghoul Re.
