I have talked enough of popular manga series. Now its time check out the hidden gems. This manga here you guys, is a must-read. I can't believe that I'm saying this right now since I disliked this manga, like for its first 20 pages. Its shorter than any other manga and easy to read. There aren't any certain subject or plot that story is focusing on. So let's get into it rightly. Palepoli is a spontaneously-created masterpiece. Soon after i finished reading the manga, I learnt that the mangaka (writer of the manga), never had any idea on how to create a manga, so he just did a random 4-paneled comedy anthology story. As I said before, there aren't any specific plot that is focused on Palepoli. But usually, each story in each page is heavily symbolized with dark themes and figures such as; death and suffering. But it's definitely not a horror manga. There are fun in each story. As for the quality of humor in Palepoli, I would say its quite impressive and outstanding among the other comedy manga. The big amount of the story is made of dark humor but its still worth reading. The quality of the stories aren't that impressive but there were many details and references to pop culture (such as the story that contained Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction) got my attention. But there aren't many elements in the story that you should take serious. Since it's a comedy manga, what matters is not the story but humor. Since there were many stories that were drawn in the manga, I couldn't manage to keep all of them in my mind. The last and (probably the longest) story was something that might not get out of my mind so easily thought.( I won't spoil the chapter completely don't worry) In last chapter, we see a woman being in the dilemma of choosing to be with which of her boyfriends and she decides to choose by testing who is better at s*x. Yeah, this might sound like a very harsh story for the manga, but trust me this isn't a manga that you may throw away for only having a inconvenient content. Once you start reading this manga, alongside with jokes you enjoy, you will also realize the symbols and huge meanings that has been implied on many of the stories. Now, for the artwork... I would say it was quite marvelous. In many of the panels, mangaka proved that he can perfectly draw both realistic and cartoon characters in a murderous harmony. The artwork is great compared to many other artists. So thats how is Palepoli. And I highly recommend it.
