Sazan to Suisei no Shoujo review

This short, but sweet manga is in beautiful FULL COLOR!

The story found wherein isn't anything that unique, it's a standard boy-meets-girl story...set in outer space, but it's a fun ride throughout regardless. It's been done before, but there's a real charm to the art and characters; very reminiscent of classic anime from the 90s. The aesthetic and pacing of this manga is an obvious love letter to space operas of the 70s and 80s that I believe classic anime/manga fans would enjoy. I thought the chemistry between the titular Sazan & "Comet Girl" was surprisingly organic and it was always lot of fun when they interacted with one another.

It's definitely a good read for those who enjoy the sci-fi classics, but still entertaining enough with plenty of action scenes and explosions to keep the average reader invested.
