Air gear is exciting because the story is not cliche. There is always a new surprise around the corner.
But it's too romantic for my taste. Beatiful girls only date pretty boys, yes the perfect couple pairing.
Ito Ogure tend to sideline characters as the story progress. So don't be surprised if your favorite characters are slowly fading away especially if they are not handsome or cool. The is too focused on few characters.
Some characters especially girls are solely motivated by love as if they have no life of their own. While the boys follow a cool guy as if they don't have nothing else to do and don't have their own needs and want, they are too busy caring for the cool guy' needs. In other words the character are shallow. Despite all that, the characters definetely leave a strong impression. Some are very interesting and you can easily relate to.
Fanservice is good, at the beginning the art was awesome but then it became awfull, it's like drawn by a different person. So get ready to be dissapointed, that's why i only gave score of 6 for art
