Dancing Baby Karin review
Mod Note: This review was written for the one-shot Hug!, which was subsequently merged into this review.
Before you start reading this review, I warn you: I hate shoujo mangas. I'm allergi to all those ultra kawaii stories with ultra kawaii main heroine and her ultra kawaii boyfriend, dealing with their ultra dramatic problems. My review will be completely subjective; remember that I warned you. Story - 2. Hug! is a typical manga for 11-year-old girls dreaming about a prince on a white horse. No ambition, no imagitiveness, no realism. Only cuteness. Art - 6. Average, but pretty studiously drawn. Character - 2. Ultra-kawaii heroine is a zoophile (!) girl in love with her dog, and ultra-kawaii boyfriend is bestial boy who acts like a dog and with that, he saves ultra-kawaii heroine from marryin the dog. There are also absolutely perfect classmates (trust me - you will never meet such in reality). Enjoyment - 4. If you're not older than 12 years old and a dog lover, you will enjoy Hug! to the fullest. If you're not - keep away from this manga. Overall - 3. It would be almost 53 pages of torture, but art wasn't that bad, so somehow I managed to survive. |
