Metal Fight Beyblade review

Fighting the hottest battles in manga history! Beyblade being born inside a vulcano! Explosions! Battle! Awesome!!!

You don't like over the top action? You want a well thought storyline? You think that commercialism is a big threat to manga culture?
Read something else!

This is Metal Fight Beyblade. Where friendship is still real friendship, where power is still real power and cheap overpriced plastic toys are THE MOST EXCITING THING EVER!!!

(story)
A normal primary school boy meets the hot-blooded blader Hagane Ginga, an over the top talented person with less personality than Kudo Taiki... But he is so cool! They meet the wild gang who takes other childrens beys after defeating them. Some tournament, some mysterious evil blader, some crazy scientist.
If you have read things like "Bakuso Kyodai Let's&Go", "Bakuten Shoot Beyblade" or "Super B-Daman", you should already know the story. So don't expect too much, if you are not into this genre.

(art)
As usual, the designs look less "clean" than in the accompanying anime. The rough drawing style give the manga its distinct flair and fit the theme. The overall quality is average.

(overall)
If you are into the genre, you should definitely not miss out on this, as this manga was published in many countries, normally not so blessed with Corocoro manga releases. I was really happy to read an official German translation, which was quite good.

Read this if you search for another exciting "shooting hobby" manga. If you like Beybade, but thought, the anime was too long and filler-heavy, you should try this out, as the story is much more compact.

3, 2, 1... Go Shoot!!!
