*REMINDER* i have not yet read nozoki Ana So this review is solely based on nozo x Kimi And judging on the reviews here, Nozo x Kimi was heavily inspired by Nozoki Ana. I’ve only read up to ch.48 the rest is not translated :( Apparently there is a sequel to nozo x kimi Called “nozo x kimi 2 nensei hen” but I can’t find it anywhere so I don’t know if there’s more to the story so consider this review only up to ch.48.
*Tiny spoilers*

CHARACTERS 8/10
ART 8/10
STORY 7/10

STORY
I thought At first it was gonna be a Crazy NTR based on the first chapters but then I took a big turn and made it Feel more like a good Rommance ecchi manga. Later on, Bits And pieces made it more romantic which was really nice. Then Around Ch. 35 I thought the story was getting worse and worse, Like it wasn’t original And the author didn’t feel like herself. Towards the end It kinda got better but I don’t really know since it’s not finished translating. I feel like we got the short end of the stick honestly. I was expecting Later in the story that Kimio start a relationship with Nozomi and Become close Lovers but ey it is what it is.

ART
The manga art is pretty nice I think it’s not a masterpiece because I feel like it could be more dynamic. I really loved the How at every start of chapter you get this beautiful art page That has a meaning to the same chapter and makes a great wallpaper. The way the author draws hair and bodies is the strongest Part for me.

CHARACTERS
I Like the main characters a lot they definitely fit the roll and doesn’t get sidetracked. The side characters was good and bad, The bad part being that the author didn’t really use previous characters after their own Little story, It can be nice to see what happened in the Long run in future arcs With older side characters. The good part was the author made the manga feel more wide And realistic By Showing different aspects and scenarios of love with couple example cheating, Introverted, Perverted etc.

* IMPORTANT *
This review doesn't include spoilers in it so be calm.

* BEFORE *
If you haven't read Nozoki Ana (which is another older manga from the same mangaka Honna Wakou) then don't care about my point.I gave it 6 points because it's the copy of Nozoki Ana. If you still want a overall point, well If I haven't read Nozoki Ana I'd give this manga 8 points out of 10.If you have read Nozoki Ana, Enjoy reading my review and I think you'll understand how I feel about this manga.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Entrance -
Do you have any idea how I rage quited this ?! I think you know because that Honna Wakou hasn't got any story other than peeping.

- Story - (6/10)
It really disappointed me. I couldn't find any difference between Nozomi X Kimio and Nozoki Ana. The same thing as usual, A guy called Kimio (the copy of Kido from Nozoki Ana) meets with a girl named Nozomi which is no other than Emiru from Nozoki Ana. Nozomi wants Kimio to PEEP her from a FREAKING WINDOW. (big difference between from the hole! *sarcasm*)

- Characters - (6/10)
One of our main characters Nozomi is the COPY of Emiru from Nozoki Ana and the other character Kimio basically is Kido from Nozoki Ana. I have no idea what to say. The only difference between the main characters from Nozoki Ana and Nozomi X Kimio is, in Nozomi X Kimio, Nozomi is a little bit more social than Emiru from Nozoki Ana. That's it, no more difference.

- Art - (8/10)
The art of the manga is the same as it should be.No difference in art too but I like Honna Wakou's art.

- Enjoyment - (4/10)
It felt like I'm reading Nozoki Ana again and I didn't like it at all.

- Overall - (6/10)
Even I was suprised that how did I gave this manga 6 out of 10. If you haven't read Nozoki Ana you'll enjoy this a lot.
Nozo x Kimi review

For all intents and purposes, I'll be reviewing the first 19 chapters, or the "first season" if you will.

STORY: 7.25/10
The premise, while similar to the plot found in [Nozoki Ana]-- is done at a more light hearted level. You aren't taken for emotional rollercoasters, you won't cry your heart out, nor will you feel empty upon finishing certain chapters. Of course after removing the aforementioned, it will definitely fall short of it's predecessor. However, let it be known that it really isn't wasn't a deal breaker for me and if you're able to remove the comparison thoughts out of your head and allow yourself to treat this manga as a stand-alone-you might be able to enjoy it much more. Nozo x Kimi places more emphasis on comedic situations, ecchi scenes, jokes, dialogue and character interactions. Romance takes a backseat and hovers along on the sides but it is definitely present; and I'm totally fine with that.

ART: 7.75/10
One word- refined. I mean seriously, the art work in this manga is done very well. Panels have a distinct sharpness to them. The designs for all the characters are well drawn, easy on the eyes and were inked uniquely enough to be appealing so there shouldn't be any mix ups or confusion. However, it's pretty clear that some of the characters, the male and female leads to be exact, resemble the leads in [Nozoki Ana]. The pair in [Nozoki Ana] feels like what the main couple in this story would look like post high school and in the college setting. Putting that aside, the attention that the mangaka paid to the character expressions are easily the highlight of the manga. The background details while not breathtakingly amazing, match the high school life setting that this manga takes place in.

CHARACTERS: 7.5/10
Despite being almost carbon copies of the protagonists in [Nozoki Ana], I do not wish to hold our characters in this story in that kind of negative light. Are our characters incorporated well into this manga? Yes they are. Is the on-screen chemistry and interactions between our main characters there? Very much so. Can the supporting characters do their jobs when required and offer more than simply making an appearance? Absolutely. They are all well rounded characters with their own strengths and weaknesses and they felt very human and relatable; for that, deserves its own merits.

ENJOYMENT/OVERALL: 8/10
Coming off reading some emotional and darker themed mangas, Nozo x Kimi was a joy to read. A breath of fresh air that cured me of minor PMDS (Post Manga Depression Syndrome). It provided laughs yet had me scratching my head at times. It made me grin and sometimes cringe at the cutesy-romancey scenes. I'm patiently waiting and extremely looking forward for the next season to be released so that should be a clear sign of my overall enjoyment. Whether you're coming off [Nozoki Ana] or a fresh reader, you should be able to enjoy reading this manga and I would recommend it to all sorts of audiences.
