This is an outstanding manga, that feels very conscious about its direction, while possessing amazing art. Its story and narrative structure is similar to Attack on Titan and Claymore and will feel familiar with fans of those series. While those series focus more on the action scenes and a slow paced narrative, Semelparous shines during the non-action scenes that focus on the reasons for the characters to fight and seems more fast paced. Depending on the amount of chapters this might be one of the most well layed out mangas of said genre (most mangas of the mangaka are around 20 chapters).

If you are a fan of seinen action scifi, then I highly recommend it.

This manga is really really good. The character motivations are fantastic. I could find myself really relating to the characters. I like how the author handles human morality. The romance between the two leads is really heartwarming. The main lead especially is very well written. I liked her backstory, and how it motivates her to help people in the future whilst simultaneously killing the people she aims to protect. There is never a boring oage with this manga. I consistently look forward to its updates. The pacing is great. If I I had a compliant, it is that the boobs can be.. um.. inflated at times.. which leads to extremely goofy looking body proportions. but I think that is an appeal that just doesn’t apply to me
