Girlfriend review
Gilfriend is an ecchi, romance manga made up of really smutty stories on different teenage relationships. Well it's supposed to be an "ecchi" title but I felt that this manga was borderline "hentai", with all the pointless sex. The stories are entirely sex-driven, which leaves no room at all for character development, making the characters the weakest aspect. Another problem is that after the first volume only some of the stories were revisited later on but at least the good ones were revisited.
The artwork is pretty decent for this romance, and was really good ind depicting the explicit scenes however the characters were very indistinguishable, as there was very little detail put into the character designs. The problem with this being on different stories is that it's easy to forget what just happened in one story however at least you're not burdened with learning the character's names. One serious problem I had with this was the sheer amount of sex and it was just missing one thing to be classed as a porn (genitalia). This manga could have done so much better, if only it focused on 1 or 2 different stories and developed the relationships but I guess the horny teenage boys who read this wouldn't mind.

Kagamigami review
If you came here after reading Psyren, turn back and just read that again.
If you didn't come here from Psyren, go read that instead. Now I'm not saying that Kagamigami is bad, it's definitely not, but it ultimately falls short of what I think it should've been able to achieve, especially based on the author and the concept. In a nutshell, I think that Kagamigami has an excellent premise and setting that wasn't given the care and attention it needed to be something really great. For a quick tldr, this manga is primarily about finding and stopping a terrorist group, with a secondary plotline about the power struggle between a cast of major families, all of this taking place in a world where youkai (spirits, demons, etc.) are real and we have the loose of equivalent of shamans (think Shaman King) doing battle with them. For the first 20 or so chapters, the terrorist plot line is the main focus and it's done very well. The pacing is good and the mystery unfolds at a solid pace. Character introductions are handled pretty well and the main characters have a fairly strong dynamic. 8/10 The next 10 or so chapters brings the major families into play and we get some nice insight into the underlying structure of the world. This is also good. 8/10 Then you realise there's only 10 chapters left and it's all downhill from here. I won't say how it goes downhill (and in fairness it's not a terrible ending) but I cannot pretend that it didn't. The ending was rushed, mediocrely explained and ultimately didn't make good use of where the story could have gone. 5/10 Kagamigami could've been a strong 8 to weak 9. All the pieces were there, the direction of the manga was on track and I know the author has the skill to take us there. So I'm disappointed that it ended up being as mediocre as it did at the end, and I'm sad that the great manga it could've been simply doesn't exist. If you're a fan of Psyren, or Shaman King, or just the shonen battle genre in general then I would still recommend Kagamigami. I would just ask that you keep your expectations in check and just enjoy ride. Or just go read Psyren.

Misumisou review
I changed my mind a lot of times while reading this manga.
At first, I thought it was just a simplistic revenge manga. Then I thought it was a revenge manga with a shallow story. Then I thought it was a story that tries to get a creepy feeling under your skin. Then I thought it was a rather creepy story that shows off a lot of strange and previously unthinkable things. Then I thought… Well, you get the idea. The further I read, the creepier it gets. At its core, I still see it as mostly a simple revenge story, but the author sure takes care to insert a lot of things along the way. By the end, you’re left wondering if you’re reading a revenge story or a story about a bunch of crazy loons. I won’t spoil anything, but I will say the story certainly kept the surprises up. Moving aside from that, the only other thing of note is the art. I’m conflicted here – primarily because I don’t know whether the awful art is intentional or not. On the surface, it seems awful primarily because characters often looked like fanged monsters when angry and, when they’re not angry, they looked indistinguishable from each other. At first, I disliked it but, later on, I ended up wondering if the author was using the art to make a commentary on the characters. So…what am I saying? I’m saying I really don’t know how I feel about it. The important part, though, is that I did enjoy reading it. Would I recommend it to others? Yes. Overall, I think it’s a short and enjoyable read. Plus, the fact that it’s so confusing actually lends to its enjoyment, I think. If nothing else, I would suggest it as a fun romp that can be finished quickly.

El Hazard: The Magnificent World review
El Hazard is one of my fond memories of anime viewing past, so in my recent manga obsesssion, it became a #1 priority to read.
The Manga story follows the general plot of the anime series, and it moves fairly well. Art is clean, and I find it easy to follow The one drawback I found was the Antagonist who followed from earth was almost an afterthought. The humor was a little weaker than in the anime, but the same basics were there. Overall, a fun read, I will read it again

Kyousou no Simulacra review
This has actuality just started , but it looks to have the potential to be really awesome.
story- what an intriguing concept. plagued by loss of his little sister , the older brother turns insane chops up her pieces and implants them in then in living dolls who have to battle it out gather the pieces , thus becoming the reborn "younger" sister. The younger brother , unaware of what the older one has done arrives on the scene and befriends one doll, whilst trying to stop the carnage amongst the others. pretty good stuff , even after only two chapters. art_ is beautiful , and well done. Character- well thought out out and developed. Though its still too early to see the full extent of their growth. Overall , looks to be an enjoyable read and one to keep an eye out for.

Sakura Juuyuushi review
Story: The story is very good, the genre's are fantasy, historical and romance. The main character, Sakura, is a bit cliche since she's your average love-sick teenager. But she has some kendo skills, which definitely makes it worthwhile for me. There are only two chapters for the first volume right now, but I think it'll be a great read. The story is intriguing and very interesting. 8/10
Art: The art is simply wonderfully delightful. It's very clean and crisp and will possible appeal to lots of people. The lines are clear, and the characters are drawn out well. I love their eyes, their drawn out so well and show so much expression. 10/10 Character: As you know, Sakura is the main heroine. From what I see, she's a slightly love-sick, kind, and a little ditzy. A bit like your common shoujo girl, with some kendo skills. I'm sure she'll put her kendo skills to use later on. There are plenty of hot boys in the story, so some eye candy. 9/10 Enjoyment: This is definitely very entertaining. The only problem is that it has so little chapters so far, so I can't really say if I enjoy it or not. For now, it's a good read. I hope it exceeds my expectations in the future. 8/10 Overall: I highly recommend you reading this if you like plenty of hot boys, a physically and possibly mentally strong heroine, and a historical background. It's definitely captured my interest, let it capture yours too. 9/10

Houkago review
Houkago is more than just a shoujo-ish adaptation of a mystery novel. At first glance, the characters seem bland, predictable, and especially the teacher is the prototypical flawless main interest. However, with each new revelation, his characterisation becomes darker. It is his human side that made me root for him, despite his faults. My advice: Don't go into this thinking that there will be some miraculous love story, don't expect some clever trick. Just enjoy how your evaluation of the situation, your perception of the characters changes. Achieving that sort of subtlety is more difficult than coming up with a good locked room murder. Kudos
to the mangaka.

Dead Tube review
I'm going to try to sumarize mi opinion as much as I can:
1.Story: I think the concept is really original, It was about time that someone used it for a manga. (but i can't avoid to remember Mirai Nikki) 2.Character designs: It's not very good, it's very generic for me, but it's alright , I guess. 3.Character development: Well, it's kinda short for some of them, but I don't care about most of the manga's characters so I dont mind it. 4.Character personality: The protagonist has a personality that I really love, he looks like he is a sweet, inoccent boy, but in the inside, well, I won't spoil anything, but it is really nice, every character has a side that you won't expect. 5.Art: I love it, but the style is really generic. In conclussion: You should read Dead Tube, if you like nicely done gore scenes and awesome character development, you will enjoy this.

Bokura no Pink review
I read this because I knew it would be a quick read and it had been on my "plan to read" list forever and I wanted it off. The read itself took about twenty minutes and was fairly enjoyable. I was suprised to enjoy it as much as I did. The characters are tolerable for the most part and easy enough to like even with little character development. I wasnt too fond of the way Red treats Pink, but it was still an enjoyable read. I was hoping for a little more romance and less of a "bullying love" than what I got. If your
looking for a quick read that will give you a giggle or two, you should give this one a shot.
