Story: 5/10
Well, it is the "Protagonist gets put in supernatural danger, weird friend comes in to save him, boom, guess now I'm involved! What can I do? Maybe I can help you fight the supernatural, go on an adventure and meet friends along the way?!!", but personally, I don't hate it that much, you have a story to tell and 50 pages to get people to pay you to tell it, its tough. The biggest problem I have is that the story didn't seem to be going anywhere, unlike the first few chapters of Bleach for example, that already presented you the expansive potential of that universe and its characters. Art: 8/10 Honestly, I'm a sucker for this art style, I love it. The design of the "Satan" character looks great, and the Cupid's second form too. The only thing I don't like is how the other characters' faces can be a little inconsistent. Character: 4/10 Overall, the characters where too shallow, and that's fine in a one-shot because you don't have time to develop them, but in this particular case, you could tell they weren't going anywhere. Overall (6/10) and conclusion: Great art, bad characters and an OK story idea. Not much to say, but if it would have gotten a full release, it probably wouldn't amount to much fun. Not a series the world will miss. |

Well, I can hear your guys hate that I’m doing another one shot but they are easier to read. I really did like the story line for this one, pretty much mixing supernatural action’s with love and courage undertones. The bad thing about this… IT COULD BE LONGER! They have such a great story that this could be made that much longer and actually have a series maybe to play around with but they don’t! They leave it on a cliff hanger. To me, that’s just lazy creating. If you have a story that is short, then don’t make it as good as this to
the point that the reader is going to want to read more. That makes it lose stars in my thought.
The artwork is alright, basically average actually. We have Sara with his white spiky hair that makes him look like his the child of Yugi from Yugioh and Allan from D.Gray Man. |

Good morning fellow Otakus. This is my first ever Manga review! A one shot by Miura Masataka. It is called -SINS-. I have very very big mixed feelings about this manga as a whole. Something that is normally written as a one shot can be either very good and the reader would agree that it only required one chapter to tell a beautiful story, but sometimes, it can be mediocre, meaning that it would have been best to include 4 or more chapters, not volumes, CHAPTERS!. -SINS, was the mediocre version. It could have been way more interesting if Masataka included 4 more chapters.
Story: The story all in all was mediocre. The normal supernatural, defeating angels and demons type story. I did find Satan as an interesting character, in other words, an interesting playboy. Art: I really did not enjoy the art style whatsoever, because it made me feel like I'm reading a normal western comic book such as lets say, Batman or Spiderman. Manga art is very unique to a story and its the most important aspect of a manga. Characters: Just your normal typical supernatural fantasy type characters. what can I say really? I didn't quite get excited whenever a new character was introduced but that's just me! In conclusion: Normally, when a person writes a one shot, they shot very very very much sit down and think about what they give the audience. As a beginner reader, I might be wrong in this particular stage. Some people might think that I am completely wrong about the whole story and one might even have enjoyed it. Mind you that this is my personal opinion and Im not saying that this is very bad. I am just pointing out that this story could have been BETTER if if was more that one single chapter |

Story:
The premiss of the story is very interesting. A world where angels have gone crazy and demons are actually more helpfull for mankind. So a group of fallen angels, or demons, have United to save humans from angels and the so called Venus. That said, the author clearly wanted a longer series to develop his ideas. I hope he could spark some interest and got the chance he wanted to make something bigger. Art: The art didn't impress me. The main characters are very ordinary. Specially Satan. That said, the angels are very cool. I also liked the idea the author had for the weapons. The clothes are also boring and bland. The scenery is almost non-existant. Character: The only development we get is for two characters. They get to know each other. It's the start of a friendship. The past of the main character is explained, but we can't really say that there was enough development to make them charming or interesting. Enjoyment: All in all, it is a cool concept, but for a oneshot on its own is just pointless. It's like having only the first chapter of a very long series like Naruto or Dragon Ball. Overall: If you don't mind reading the first chapter of a long series that will never be completed, just go for it. |
