Death Note review
Extremely addictive. Make sure you have all 12 volumes ready for the reading before you start! I literally could not put this down.
A caveat that I saw the live action movies before I read the manga. (I believe the first movie is covered entirely in the first 3 volumes.) The story is quite different in those two mediums. I liked how they did the fiancee thing better in the movie, but there are also a lot of things I liked more in the manga... basically way more elaborate. The thinking behind this manga is just genius. I could just be a nerd, but I get so excited when L and Light reason and talk their way through stuff. It's deep, thoughtful stuff too, but despite it being talky at times, it never weighs down or slows the story (Liar Game has this problem). It's thrilling!! So with so many great things to say, why a 9 only? If this manga ended in volume 7, it would have literally been an absolutely perfect manga that would be a clear 10/10. Gonna stop before I give anything else away. But even with Vol. 8-12, it's still a very solid read and one I would definitely recommend.

Eikou no Te review
This review may contain spoilers
Too bad that this manga is so forgotten. It has lot of potential! The story is about Masumi and partially about his younger brother Yuuki. Masumi one day wake up with bleeding hand and strange things begin to happen. He encounters strange winged man which claims to be his protector for unknown reason. Also, the strange men are after Masumi, even his brother gets threaten. Soon to his school is transfered anemic girl Mary and her overly protective brother Midori. But not so long after that Masumi has to deal with threat and treason. Art is really a gem, I love it. It was so enjoyable to look at the art, it was clean. Big minus is that the story felt rushed, I think it would deserve more episodes. Some parts felt really confusing, I don't understand some things. Such a shame that this story have only 10 chapters, I would like to have more and see more of the characters. So prepare that there will be parts you won't understand, but it still worth to read. Oneshots Hanamen-gari Iden - To be honest, I don't get how this oneshot is related to the story, if felt completely ripped from the context of the story. The Greatest Secret - This one I really enjoyed, because of this I understand a bit more of Mari's and Midori's part of the story, because this one is about their past.

Lives review
This is one of those good kick ass manga , your always so glad to stumble across.
plenty of fast paced action , drama, awesome awesome art work, good story , decent ( not over the top ) fan service and one hell of a ride for your money. I am way way impressed with this manga, though to be warned the violence can at times be a bit extreme. Not the worst out there by any means , but not your generic stuff either. This isn't a manga for kiddies. That said , it really is a great kick ass manga and one you will not fail to enjoy.

Misumisou review
Warning: This review contains spoilers pertaining to the series' plot
Misu Misou is a tale of bullying, death, romance and revenge (sweet blissful revenge). The story is gory, romantic and absolutely tragic. The story is based in a small village outside of japan, in a very hush hush area, and essentially the new girl is bullied by psychopathic tweens. Without spoiling its interesting tale, they do some pretty fucked up shit, which results in the main character to stand up and kill the little cunts. What I love about the story is how essentially it is a psychological horror revenge tale, with a nice dash of romance. But what the story does is really make you feel as if all the characters, no matter how fucking awful they are, don't really deserve to die, and how you really feel bloody awful watching them die so horribly. Yet at the same time you are happy they are dead. Art: The art is awful, it looks bland and dull. Characters: The characters are interesting and very normal, I like them, I can relate to them. but when the blood starts splattering these characters change from normal to badass, it's amazing. Overall enjoyment: I liked it alot, in fact I can't wait to see what happens next. It is very violent it's kinda on the fuckked up level of Elfen Lied, so if you don't like Elfen Lied don't read this.

Hot Gimmick review
This will be my first review. I chose Hot Gimmick because it's the least enjoyable manga I've read so I feel like it needs my critique the most.
I think some people might find my scoring a little harsh, but I think my ratings fairly illustrate my feelings toward this manga. There's a simple reason why I stuck with it all the way instead of adding it to my dropped list and it's because I'm not a quitter. Story: 4 There isn't single scrap of originality to the story. Really the only good thing it has going for it is the perverse way the reader can't help but continue reading. It's just your basic love triangle (actually it's more like a reverse harem). By the end of the short series, you don't really get the feeling that the characters matured any and it definitely did not leave me wanting more. I was actually very happy to say good riddance because the plot development was pushing non-existent once I easily figured out all the predictable "twists". Art: 2 The volume covers are misleading, in my opinion. When you look at the colored chapter images you get a completely different feeling than when you look at the sloppy, chicken-scratch art in the actual chapters. There are times when the art is stereotypical shoujo with big eyes and lots of sparkle (which is fine, I guess) but most of the time (and especially when the characters are shown from a profile view) the art is empty and the characters are ugly. I also hate when manga-ka get lazy and use photo manips for background images instead of drawing it, and manips are used far too often in Hot Gimmick. Character: 4 The only thing keeping this from being a 3 or a 2 is Shinogu. Even he was lame, cheesy, and his ending was predictable and laughable, but at least he was likable throughout the entire series. I would say my biggest problem with characterizations would be Hatsumi and Ryoki's relationship with each other. *Possible spoilers* Ryoki was constantly mentally, physically, and sexually abusive to Hatsumi. Hatsumi had the lowest sense of self-worth out of any character I've ever read about. She was a terrible shoujo heroine and I was kind of rooting for her to suffer because anyone that dumb deserves it. I hated Ryoki. Everything about him was disgusting and cruel, which means I hated Hatsumi even more. Weak-willed protagonists are my least favorite things. They were terrible characters. Enjoyment: 4 I'm being generous. And the only reason it's this high is because I had some kind of weird, morbid fascination that allowed me to finish the series in a relatively short amount of time (a couple of days) rather than tortuously dragging it out. Overall: 3 I would not recommend this manga to anyone unless you like weak-willed female protagonists who passively tolerate abuse.

Chrono Monochrome review
A manga about chess is something that you don't see every day and this manga handles it decently.
The story begins quite oddly, but the manga picks up significantly after the first chapter. The story is quite interesting however the only problem with that is that even though its a chess manga, the part with the 'chess' isn't very interesting. Meaning that the chess seemed like more of a backdrop to the actual story. However, the story is engaging as the main protagonist continues to grow and face his fears. A well crafted story, my only complaint about this manga is the fact that the exaggerate the chess games a bit too much.

Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijou review
I think that this manga is enjoyable and good if you are looking for a light read.
This manga is a comedy where many of the jokes hit the mark for me. The story characters and art are not anything special but these all work in favor towards the many jokes and one liners that make up this comedy. For instance let us take the art. While it is nothing that looks amazing it isn't bad either, but there are times that it is purposefully reduced to enhance a joke especially the running gag of the phoenix. This is done extremely well and it really enhances my enjoyment. This is done throughout the few chapters constantly out and it is done masterfully. This is also done with the story and the characters, despite both not being outstanding, the usage of making their shortcomings the butt of the jokes makes the enjoyment much greater than it would otherwise be. Although sometimes the humor is crude, the jokes presented do not often fall short. This manga does not present anything extraordinary, yet despite that it does an amazing job of working with what it does present to create some genuinely funny moments. Definitely worth a read if you are looking for a lighthearted comedy. By the way the phoenix is the best character.

Hakaijuu review
WARNING: THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS
What makes films like "Godzilla" so interesting to millions of people worldwide, enough to make it a billion-dollar franchise? And what do the 3 (not counting Godzilla vs. Kong which is looking to be pretty goddamn terrible) American adaptations of the series lack that causes fans to revile them so much? The answer is simple; people come for the spectacle, not the human element. The original 1954 is regarded as a masterpiece for its haunting interpretation of the harm nuclear warfare has caused to the planet, with the titular kaiju an extension of the people of Japans' fears coming off the tail end of World War II. Most people don't remember Doctor Serizawa or his attempts to create a device capable of subduing Godzilla, or his conflict of ideas with his fiancé. Not because they aren't interesting, but because Godzilla is just narratively and physically bigger. But their subplots are woven in between the kaiju's rampage, in a way that makes them compelling enough to drive most of the film when Godzilla's not on screen. Now, there's 32 or so Godzilla films as of 2021, and a good deal of them tend to make the mistake of not having interesting human characters, and forcing them into the spotlight when people would rather watch men in rubber suits duke it out on a miniature city. The exception, Shin Godzilla, is actually noteworthy for basing most of the film around human bureaucracy and manages to make it work, but Hideaki Anno is a master. Many of the other films in the series weren't lucky enough to have someone like him at the helm, and suffered for it. Just look at the 1969 entry Godzilla's Revenge; a schizophrenic nightmare of a movie focusing on some annoying kid running around with a tiny rubbery version of Godzilla doing absolutely fuck all for 2 hours. Everyone hates this movie. Even diehard Godzilla fans wish it never existed. And almost everyone hates the narratively and visually uninspired Legendary Pictures takes on Godzilla. Nobody goes to see a Godzilla movie to watch 2 minutes of actual kaiju action while 99% of the film focuses on whatever stupid shit the human characters are doing. Nobody goes to see a Godzilla movie to watch the girl from Stranger Things overact and run around with some fucking macguffin every 5 minutes. How does this tie into my review of HAKAIJUU? Because it makes the same exact mistakes as the worst Godzilla films, but somehow manages to be even more insufferable and stupid. Hakaijuu immediately starts off in the worst possible way: introducing two generic rival shonen protagonists. Within the first chapter I felt like I was reading a ripoff of a better series, like Slam Dunk or Kuroko no Basket. But the hope of seeing two shonen cliches beating down monsters was keeping me from dropping it before I even finished the first 5 pages. When the kaiju attack, the author makes the fatal mistake of splitting up the two in favor for saddling the main guy with some boring schoolgirl without a shred of personality. She's sorta badass at times but mostly a cardboard cutout with Saeko from Highschool of the Dead crudely scribbled over it. We don't see the rival guy again for around 50 chapters, and by then he's already basically a different character. Also, guess what the main protagonist's goal is; finding his whiny, useless girlfriend who looks like a 12 year old and has no personality like every other female character in the manga. Because the author isn't satisfied ripping off more than one series, he decides to start stealing from Gantz. And not even the good parts of Gantz, he's taking all the shitty parts that made everyone drop it during the final arc. How do you steal something that's already terrible and manage to make it even worse? Now we have to deal with everyone elses' drama and whining, because of course there's more characters. There's too many characters, in fact. Hakaijuu makes the exact same mistakes as every other terrible apocalyptic manga; shoving in dozens of irritating dead weight in the hopes at least one of them will be sympathetic to the readers. Unfortunately, none of them are. Unless you like every other dialogue coming out of character's mouths being "NOOOO!" or "KYAAAAH!". If you find that shit as exhausting as I do you will feel the urge to drop this mess every time you turn the page. Because incoherent screaming and whining is 99% of the dialogue in this shitshow. Wanted to see the government fighting the kaiju with weirdly implemented futuristic technology? Here's one page out of the hundreds of people acting like unlikeable screeching idiots who can't shut their fucking mouths for one chapter and do something other than be a complete burden. Also, 99% of these character die pointless, infuriating deaths due to their own stupidity and the fact that they can't stop standing in place, looking at the kaiju and screaming like deer in headlights. Even the protagonists do this sometimes, but the author hates us and always makes them survive. The only character who didn't make me regret reading this was the crazy, inexplicably buff teacher who gets way too attached to the main girl. And guess what, he turns into a fucking cyborg. Remember what I said about ripping off Gantz? Yeah. Turns out there's an entire government faction turning people into robots and Power Rangers to fight the kaiju. They turned Tokyo into a giant laboratory, somehow, without the millions of people noticing. This is when the manga ascends from garbage-bin levels into true absurdity, some kind of Dadaist statement in manga form. Honest to God mecha fights happen in this. Halfway through it doesn't even resemble what it was trying to be at the start. You have to wonder what exactly the author was thinking. After this inexplicable turn of events, the hulking mass of a man, using the power of NANOMACHINES SON, suddenly becomes the best character. The other two are so boring they totally lose all agency and get dragged along everywhere for a while. But of course, once they make it to the next part of the story we have to deal with the incessant melodramatics of Boring Protagonist #1 and his dumbass girlfriend, who stops having any narrative potential after a single chapter and becomes a boring damsel in distress who can hardly even function without crying an entire river every 5 seconds. So basically the girl from Gantz. Speaking of girls, i can't even remember what happens to the original girl from the start, I think she just gets sidelined. This manga sucks. By the last few chapters Hakaijuu has all but devolved into complete tedium and nonsense in a loss of all narrative cohesion. The ending is hollow sequel-bait that hopefully never comes into fruition, and when it was finally over I physically sighed with relief, as my trial was finally over. The burden of trudging through this manga was no longer mine. Hakaijuu is all the worst parts of large-scale disaster series crumpled up into one miserable heap. It just gets worse and worse every chapter. The only thing that isn't constantly degrading in quality is the art; it's not half bad, sometimes even great. The monsters are nightmarish, finely illustrated, and the just about only thing in this manga more frightening than the atrocious character writing. The grotesque bio-mechanical designs of the mechs were somewhat cool, even if nothing about them made sense. But while it was fun at first to see how much the craziness could escalate, it eventually stopped being fun and felt more like the author was just throwing as much as they could at the wall as possible. There's way too much stuff going on, so you just end up rooting for the kaiju to end everything prematurely and give your head a rest.

009 Re:Cyborg review
There's not much to say about this manga it's a pretty short 35 chapters is not that many I read it in a few hours, it seems more like a small single mission of the original series. I have not read the original series nor have I read the one after this one this is pretty good well I would say Middle Ground not the best I've read a lot worse and there's nothing special about this other than the main characters are cyborgs that's pretty cool and each one has a special ability which is also pretty cool but the storyline is meh. I'm
not sure if it's some sort of religious connotation towards Christians as they're the only religion that I know of that has specifically winged angels. Now I know Valkyries are also supposed to have wings but as far as a singular God the Nordic Pantheon does not have one God as many gods and goddesses that do a whole range of things. Those are the only two religions that I can point to humanoid beings having wings and it's religion. Other religions do have Mystical flying beings but these are usually on a cloud on some sort of other object that does not include wings. I'm going off on a tangent here one mission was to go against God or at least God's voice which turns out to be some little loli girl it is very odd. I can't really spoil much considering it's only a single Mission over about a week I would guess not even. It's worth a read, one read no more to me it was interesting on the first read it has no value in doing multiple reads unless you really like the series but again I've not read the other Series so I can't back that up.
