Onihime VS review
This is one of those little known series that deserve more recognition. It's also one of my favorite manga series (partly due to the fact that it's the first manga I've read) (or manhwa)
Story: 7/10 This series actually has a decent overall plot for a harem manga. It's definitely unique and no doubt has a lot of potential, but it does suffer from a somewhat episodic path, with no clear antagonists defined (as of now). Art: 9/10 As expected of Lim Dall-Young and Lee Soo-Hyun, the artwork is essentially eye candy and is overall spectacular. Characters: 8/10 I was pleasantly surprised with the characters, especially with a harem series. Instead of being a flat out loser, Setsuna is a kind and frail, but introverted high school student who suffers from a heart defect and views himself as nothing but a burden on his sister (who takes care of him and all of his hospital bills) and decides to take his own life. Then you have the beautiful and boisterous Kanna and the silent but caring Rena. Combine them with the popular and haughty Arima who has a tsundere personality and you have a wonderful cast of characters. Enjoyment: 10/10 Overall: 9/10 Ultimately it's the spectacular art and the great characters that make this series so good. Unfortunately, it suffers from several harem clinches, but if you can overlook them, you have an enjoyable romance/harem series with a lot of potential on your hands. |
Onihime VS review
This manwha is great. it shows a different side than a lot of other Korean works. even though it is just the beginning there is plenty going on and it just keeps getting better
STORY 10- the originally of this series is in its plot. it doesn't take an average kid and group him together with alien babes, no. it take a suicidal kid and groups him together with to babes that are competing to eat heart (they also protect his heart from people trying to steal it). this some how end up as a happy go lucky series (but not really the main character just brightens up the mood sometimes) with action, ecchi, romance, comedy, drama( of course) and a harem to boot! ART 9- hmm... I'm no artist nor do i have an eye for details, but from my experience in reading so many different types i have to this is one of the better ones. all of the characters have their own styles. none of them look the same ( very important!). the backgrounds are identifiable and you can easily follow the action scenes, none for that guest what stuff is, i hate that. CHARACTER 9- ok i know this is bad but i forgot all the character's names. that doesn't mean that i don't remember them its just I was never good with people's names and I'm too lazy to look them up. alright moving on...the characters each have those over used traits that would usually make the story predictable and boring. however, the all have that X-FACTOR, if you will, take make them different and refreshing. you'll find out what i mean when you read it. ;P ENJOYMENT 9- this series is one of those sit down and read until you finish kinda stories, although there isn't that much chapters. I am the type of guy that never rereads or re watches ANYTHING but series to me might be the one to break that rule.that's is saying something. OVERALL - 9, i rarely give anything a 10, this manwha isn't the best there is, although my review did kinda make it seem that way, but it is pretty damn good. the plot is my favorite part of the series it gives me that what will happen next at the same time you already know what the very end will be like. the art is good, but art doesn't really come up in my radar when i read mangas. the characters are great they mix well together. if your looking for an interesting plot then this story id for you. note- this was my first review, i kinda feel that it sucks for a lot of reasons, oh well. feel free to drop a comment on my page, complaints too ;P |
Onihime VS review
Story: The main, Setsuna thinks of himself only as a burden to his beloved sister so he decidet to end his life when he got the "chance" to make something like a "deal with the devil" for that he has to live with two beautiful Deamon Princesses for a Year.
Art: It is the same as for Unbalance x Unbalance where Im Dal Young and Lee Soo Hyun worked together for so you can expect an outstanding artwork . Character: The Interesting Characters here are Rena and Kanna, the Daemon Princesses. Kanna, not the brightest light but a outstanding beauty, is extroverted and forward. Rena, the younger sister of Kanna is introverted and wont speak, instead she is using written notes to communicate, she is also very popular at her job in a Maid-caffee. Enjoyment: as expected from a Story by those two you will have a great enjoyment. as must for everyone who likes the works of them. |
